DEXTER - The North Country Riding Club will be holding their first horse show of the 2007 season, Sunday, June 03rd with members and participants coming from all over Central & Northern Maine. The upcoming Equitation Show has 45 Classes focusing on everything from halter classes, English & Western classes to Lead Line for the youngest rider, draft / draft-cross halter class, driving classes and jumping. The NCRC shows are at Bud Elms Field in the North Country Riding Club Arena in Dexter. Show registration is at 7:30 to 8:15 am; Show time is 8:30 AM and will be held rain or shine (unless extreme conditions). All horses must have current rabies and coggins papers upon entering the Show Grounds for the safety of all horses.
NCRC will be holding our annual "Spring Clean Up Day" on Friday, May 18th at 5 pm or when you can get there. Bring your family & friends, rakes, pails, wheelbarrow, weedwacker, etc and join the fun to prepare the ring and grounds for our upcoming show season. (Rain date is Wednesday, May 23rd). This year we are having a family BBQ for the cleanup crew. We are providing the Hamburgers & Hot Dogs, plates and condiments; you bring your own drinks and anything else you would like to share, like desserts or favorite chips and dip. NCRC holds their monthly meeting the last Wednesday of the month and the public is invited. The next monthly meeting will be held Wednesday, May 30th; 6:30 pm for Snack'n Chat and 7 pm meeting time.
